Terms of Use and Disclaimer

1. Scope and no contract

The content of the Website is free and publicly accessible. Merely visiting it does not create a contract between you and me, and I have no intention to be legally bound by it. Any services I offer (for example through BNP Visuals) are provided only under a separate written agreement.

2. Information only, no advice

The Website is for general information about my professional background and work. Nothing on it is architectural, engineering, legal, tax, accounting, financial or investment advice, and nothing on it is an offer, solicitation or recommendation to buy or sell real estate, securities or any other financial product. Please obtain independent professional advice before making decisions based on any content you read here.

3. Accuracy of content

I prepare the content with great care. However, I do not guarantee that it is correct, complete or up to date. Figures and descriptions (for example numbers of projects or collaborations) are approximate and may change. Credentials, studies and certifications are described as of the date shown above.

4. Copyright and intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, all content on the Website, including texts, photographs, drawings, architectural renderings, visualizations and the portfolio, is protected by German and international copyright law. All rights are reserved. Visualizations created by BNP Visuals are © BNP Visuals / Bruno Paschmann. Some images depict projects commissioned by third parties, whose rights remain unaffected. Content and rights of third parties are marked as such where required.

Any use that is not permitted by copyright law, in particular reproduction, editing, translation, storage, scraping, downloading or republishing of images, documents or the portfolio, or their inclusion in databases or other electronic media, requires my prior written consent or that of the respective rights holder. Uses allowed by mandatory law, such as quotation or private copying within the limits of the German Copyright Act (UrhG), remain unaffected. Unauthorized reproduction or distribution of individual contents or entire pages is not permitted and may be a criminal offense.

Displaying the Website within third-party frames is allowed only with my written permission.

5. Trademarks and third-party logos

Names and logos of Columbia University, the Technical University of Munich, Munich University of Applied Sciences, the Technical University of Denmark, the Wharton School, the U.S. Green Building Council (LEED) and other organizations are trademarks of their respective owners. They appear only to identify the institutions where I studied or the credentials I hold. They do not indicate any affiliation with, sponsorship by or endorsement from these organizations. “BNP Visuals” and its logo identify my architectural visualization studio.

6. External links

The Website contains links to websites of third parties (“external links”). These websites are the responsibility of their operators. When the links were first placed, I checked the third-party content for possible legal violations and found none. I have no influence on the current or future content of linked pages. Placing a link does not mean that I adopt the content behind it as my own. Continuous monitoring of external links is not reasonable without concrete indications of a violation. If I become aware of a violation, I will remove the link without delay.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Website. In particular, you will not attempt to gain unauthorized access to it or its systems, disrupt or overload it, use automated tools to harvest content, or use it for unlawful purposes.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Website and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. I do not guarantee that the Website will be uninterrupted, secure or free of errors or harmful components.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, I am not liable for damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Website or from reliance on its content. This limitation does not apply to liability for intent or gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, for breach of essential contractual obligations (in which case liability is limited to foreseeable, typical damage), under the German Product Liability Act, or where liability cannot be excluded or limited by mandatory law. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

10. Contacting me

Sending me an email or other message does not create a client, advisory or confidentiality relationship unless we expressly agree on one in writing. Please do not send confidential or sensitive information before we have agreed how to exchange it.

11. Privacy and cookies

How personal data is processed, and which cookies or similar technologies are used, is described in the Privacy Policy. You can change your cookie choices at any time via “Cookie Settings” in the footer. Provider details are in the Legal Notice (Impressum).

12. Special terms

If special conditions apply to individual uses of the Website or to specific services and differ from these terms, I will point this out expressly at the relevant place. In that case, the special terms apply to the individual case and take precedence.

13. Changes to the Website and these terms

I may change, suspend or discontinue the Website or any part of it at any time. I may also update these terms, for example to reflect legal or technical changes. The current version is the one published on this page, with the date shown at the top. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms and your use of the Website are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, you also keep the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live. To the extent legally permissible, the courts of Munich, Germany have exclusive jurisdiction.

15. Severability

If any provision of these terms is or becomes invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. The invalid provision is replaced by a valid one that comes closest to its economic purpose.
